Teenager Dies While Attempting Social Media Stunt On Los Angeles Bridge

The police said that an adolescent died early Saturday morning during a stunt for social media on a bridge in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department chief Michel Moore stated that officers were dispatched to the Sixth Street Bridge around 2 am.

Moore stated that they discovered a male 17-year-old who had fallen off one of the arches near the 6th Street Viaduct. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The chief said, “He fell and died after slipping.”

He claimed that the teenager fell while climbing the arch to broadcast his fall on social media. Moore didn’t say which social media platform was intended by the teenager.

The identity of this teenager has not been released.

Police have taken action on the bridge for a variety of reckless behaviors, including street racing and illegal takeovers. A man was killed in January on the bridge while filming an unauthorised music video.

The bridge, which cost $588 million and opened in 2022, was intended to be a landmark of the city.

Moore stated, “Tragically, we see this location. While it has brought a lot of pride to Los Angeles, it’s also served as a background for tragedies like this.”

He said that the police will continue to increase patrols in that area “to counter such irresponsible actions.”

Officials from law enforcement have advised parents to keep an eye on their children’s social media behavior. Some children have even died trying to complete social media challenges they’ve seen trending.
