A Brooklyn murder on Saturday shows what America has become and what its future looks like. This murder also shows the weakness of the “intersectionality coalition” of leftist groups that claim victimhood is the most desired position in today’s crazy culture.
O’Shae Sibley, a professional dancer, joined the Vogue 4 Dance Company #BlackLivesMatter in 2020. The group produced a video featuring “black queer and trans people who use voguing as a form of protest.”
O’Shae Sibley is dead. It is not the MAGA hat-wearing redneck yahoo of Leftist mythology, but someone Sibley may have believed was his ally. The killer is a fellow member of the Leftist alliance of groups who claim to be victims and blame white men for all evils in society. This group has been repeatedly cited by the Biden Administration as the greatest terror threat the United States faces today.
According to the New York Daily News, Sibley was “stabbed to death” in an altercation with a group of Muslim men who claimed that the victim’s spontaneous act had offended them. They preferred to use euphemisms such as “militants”, or “extremists”.
The Daily News headline reflects the reticence of this reporter: “VIDEO: Professional dancer stabbed in Brooklyn gas station by bigoted stranger for voguing and dancing with friends: witness.” Seattle Times, however, was more direct when they covered the story. Witness: “A Shirtless Gas Pumper in Brooklyn, NY was stabbed to death by a Muslim stranger who felt offended. ”
Sibley and his friends were dancing at the Midwood Mobil Station, located on Coney Island Ave. near Avenue P. A group protested their antics, and one of the men began dancing as they filled up their car. The Daily News reported that the group had been harassed as they left the Mobil station.
Witnesses said that men leaving Mobil believed Sibley’s friends had insulted them. “They said, ‘Oh we’re Muslim. “They said, ‘Oh we’re Muslim. ‘” I think it was a crime of hate. They were only dancing. That was all they did. He asked why he danced.
That may be. Islamic tradition depicts Muhammad specifying the punishment for homosexual activity: “Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot [that is, the Biblical Lot of Sodom and Gomorrah fame], execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4462). And so the confrontation in Brooklyn ran its course. The Daily News says that one of Sibley’s friends told the Muslims: “You like girls, you look like you’re into girls, but we are not into girls. We have our own life. We can do whatever we want, you know. We’re dancing, that’s our life.”
The confrontation escalated until “the stabbing took place in a split second, while the victim was still standing, with a crowd gathering around him.” The murderer has not yet been found.
Sibley and his friends, as well as the other gas station customers, were probably unaware they were in danger until they heard that the group had been offended by the dancing because of their Islamic faith.
