Hamas’ officials claimed that the hostages would be freed within an hour if Israel met its conditions. He said that the hostages could not be released in a safe place now.
Hamas officials said that Israel must free all Palestinians in Israeli prisons as a condition for the release of Israeli soldiers being held hostage.
Hamas’ officials claimed that Israel and the U.S. already know its terms of release for civilian hostages because they revealed them to the leaders of various Arab countries in their conversations.
Israel does not appear to have verified the claim or even taken it into account as they continue to gather their forces along the Gaza border in what appears to be the prelude for a ground invasion.
