Hamas launched a surprise attack on Gaza last week, resulting in the death, injury, or capture of hundreds of civilians, soldiers, and infants. Israel responded by firing missiles into Gaza as a retaliation to Hamas’s attack.
According to sources familiar with the issue, when the Senate returns to work in a few weeks, it will need to prepare a package of additional legislation that includes aid for Israel, and possibly Ukraine. It may also include border security and assistance to Israel.
