Fox News has independently confirmed that there are reports of two American hostages being released.

Hamas has released a statement explaining why it is releasing the prisoners.
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obaida stated Friday that “in response to the Qatari effort, Al-Qassam Brigades freed two American citizens, a mother, and daughter, for humanitarian reasons and to prove to American people and the world that claims made by Biden’s fascist government are false and without basis.”
Hamas does not reveal the exact number of American hostages it is holding. At least 32 Americans were killed and there are still 11 Americans missing who may be held hostage by Hamas.
President Joe Biden is leaving for the beach late Friday, and it’s not clear what the status of the other hostages is.
