Mike Pence Will Reportedly Launch Presidential Bid Next Week, And Two Other Republicans Are Also Expected To Announce

According to reports, the former Vice President Mike Pence is expected to announce his presidential candidacy next week. He will hold an event in Iowa and release a video on June 7.

This would require him to take on former President Donald Trump, as well as the other GOP candidates. Pence was vice president with Trump, and ran alongside Trump for reelection in 2020. He lost to Democrats Joe Biden & Kamala Harris. Pence served as Indiana Governor and as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a White House run last week. Others include Nikki Haley who was the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations for a part of Trump’s term, Vivek RAMASWAMY, Larry Elder, a former Arkansas Governor. Asa Hutchinson and U.S. Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina are also candidates.

According to polls, Trump is leading the field of GOP presidential and potential candidates. DeSantis was ranked second.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the current North Dakota Governor and former New Jersey Gov. Doug Burgum is also expected to announce his White House bid next week.

The first Republican Primary Debate is scheduled to take place in August.

Biden, on the other hand, is running for reelection. This means that if Biden or Trump win the presidential nominations of their respective parties, the 2024 election could be a repeat of the one in 2020. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Marianne Williamson and others are running for the Democratic nomination.

Biden would be 86 at the end of his second term, making him the oldest president to have served in the United States. Trump will be 82 years old by the end his second term, if he is elected in 2024.
