The shooting at Nashville Covenant School on Monday, a private Christian elementary school, continues to affect families and individuals across the country. First responders and local officials released more details Wednesday to help them continue their investigation into the tragic deaths of three children and three adults.
Melissa Joan Hart, an American actress, was among those who were affected by the tragedy. Hart is most well-known for her role as “Sabrina The Teenage Witch”, which ran from 1996 to 2003. It was a sitcom that was family-friendly and very popular. Hart was awarded three Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.
Mediaite reports Hart has three children with Mark Wilkerson, ages 10, 15, and 17. Hart shared her story on Monday, but it was a day late.
Hart commented on her Instagram post to explain why her story wasn’t shared. Hart said that it was too personal to share yesterday (Tuesday), but she wanted others to hear her story. Hart and her husband were both in the same place after the shooting, even though Covenant is their home.
You can see the story below.

She stated:
For those of you who know I live in Nashville, and what’s been going on here today:
My kids go to school right next to a school where there was a shooting today. We moved here from Connecticut, where we were in a school little ways down from Sandy Hook [Elementary School]. So, this was our second experience with a school shooting with our kids being in close proximity.
Luckily, we are all okay. But my husband and I were on our way to school for conferences, and luckily, our kids weren’t in [school] today.
At this point, Hart tries her best to hold back tears, as she continues:
We helped a class of kindergarteners across a busy highway. They were climbing out of the woods, they were trying to escape the shooter situation at their school.
So, we helped all of these tiny little kids cross the road and get their teachers over there, and we helped a mom reunite with her children.
I don’t know what to say anymore. Enough is enough.
After a short pause, she ends her video by asking viewers to pray for the families.
Her comments show how to handle this tragic event for families. Friends from Hollywood and Democrats could learn from her.
Please pray for Nashville. These people are in dire need of all of our prayers.
