Marilyn Manson Accuser Recants Sex Abuse Allegations

Ashley Morgan Smithline, a model, previously accused Marilyn Manson, of sexual, psychological, and physical abuse during their relationship in 2010. Smithline claims that these accusations are false.

Smithline filed a lawsuit in June 2021 against Manson, whose real name was Brian Warner. Smithline accused Manson of sexual assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction or emotional distress. She also claimed that Manson was human trafficking and unlawful imprisonment. Smithline claimed that she had a brief, consensual relationship with Manson but that it turned dark.

Rolling Stone reported that Warner was piercing her wrists and ankles when she woke up one morning in an unconscious state.

According to the lawsuit, “On another occasion, Mr. Warner threw a nazi knife at Ms. Smithline and it only barely missed her face.” Ms. Smithline was also set on fire by Mr. Warner. Smithline.”

Smithline claimed Manson bit, whipped, and cut her with a knife in order to mark her thighs with his initials.

In a July court declaration Manson, 54, stated that he had denied the allegations and said that his relationships were “consensual”.

According to court documents, Manson stated that he had never assaulted, raped, or threatened any of these women. “Their allegations against me of abuse and assault, rape, or threats are unambiguously false.”

After nearly two years, Smithline’s lawsuit against Los Angeles was dismissed by a Los Angeles court judge last month. According to People magazine, Smithline did not represent herself in court and hired a new lawyer after Jay Ellwanger quit representing her.

Howard King, Manson’s lawyer, stated that they wished her well and would continue to work to ensure that those who tried to abuse the legal system will pay a substantial price.

Smithline made a Los Angeles Superior Court declaration on Thursday admitting that Manson’s accusations are false. Smithline claimed that she was forced by Evan Rachel Wood and other actresses to accuse Manson of abuse.

Smithline stated in the declaration that she had given in to Evan Rachel Wood’s pressure to make false accusations of rape or assault against Manson.

People magazine reported that the model claimed she was repeatedly gaslit by Wood and others including Ashley Walters, Manson’s former assistant who sued him in 2021 for sexual assault and battery. Illma Gore, Wood’s girlfriend, and Esme Bianco, the ‘Game of Thrones actress, believe she had been abused in similar ways to what they claimed.

Last month, Bianco reached an agreement with Warner.

Smithline claimed that Walters or Gore contacted her in 2020 to invite her to a meeting with other women who had “relationships” or experienced Mansonian behavior. The group call was filmed by Walters and Gore and featured in “Phoenix Rising”, a documentary about Wood’s accusations of sexual abuse against Manson.

Smithline stated that Wood and others suggested she might be “misremembering” or “repressing her memories of Manson’s abuse.

“I recall Wood asking me whether I was whipped, tied up, and branded/cut. He also asked if I was assaulted while asleep, beaten, or raped. Smithline stated in her declaration that Ms. Wood had said that all of these things happened to her and other women and that every moment when Ms. Wood was there [Manson] was one of survival. “When I stated, “No, this did not happen to us and this was not our experience,” Ms. Wood told me that simply because I couldn’t remember it, that did not mean it didn’t happen.”

She wrote that she believed what she had repeatedly told her about Ms. Wood, and Ms. Bianco, eventually happened to me.

According to Smithline, she was unaware of the contents of the civil complaint filed before it was filed. Smithline claimed that she was also “pressured” to participate in a press tour by her attorney to discuss the allegations against Manson.

She did an interview for People magazine in May 2021.

Ellwanger stated that Smithline’s civil complaint allegations against him “are categorically, verifiably false.”

Smithline admitted that her 2021 civil lawsuit contained “untrue statements” regarding Manson, “including violence and non-consensual sexual activity.”

Wood’s representative stated in a statement that Evan never pressured or mistreated Ashley. Ashley was the one who first called Evan to report the abuse she suffered. Ashley was harassed and threatened after she filed her federal lawsuit. It is unfortunate that Ashley had to change her testimony.

At least 15 women claim Manson has sexually assaulted them, and four have filed lawsuits against him.
