Poor “Karen” Her magic incantations to persuade — “Put on your f-king face, you piece of sh*t!” — failed to have the desired effect on a Delta Airlines passenger on a flight from Tampa to Atlanta.
Perhaps her ability to persuade was hampered by his knowledge of mask effectiveness. Perhaps her magic words didn’t work because he was familiar with airplane filtration systems. Maybe he was just eating.
He wasn’t wearing his mask at the moment to her satisfaction, and “Karen” wasn’t having it.
Video footage of the attack on the woman shows her wearing her mask around her neck to ensure he heard her “Christmas wishes” as well as her threats. Also, her mask was exactly the same as his, and she still criticized him for his failures.
She wasn’t the only one profanely belittling him. Our Karen is shown in a video slapping him across his face and then, according to one participant, going for his throat with her two hands. She also spits at him because he didn’t follow her instructions.
At least two videos were taken of the attack on Christmas Eve. In an Instagram video, the man was seen wearing a mask underneath his chin just like the woman.
After her physical and epithet attacks, the man said “sit down Karen!” and also called her “b–h” and told her “you’re going into jail!” It took three airline attendants for her to be subdued. One attendant gently pushed her down the aisle, away from the man, using the food cart.
Some passengers met their family members for Christmas at the end. As seen in one of the videos, “Karen” was greeted by police cars. WSB TV reports the FBI met Patricia Cornwall, a woman, at the gate and took her in custody. Evidently, they have a dim view of assault and battery.
Massive cancellations of flights across the nation have been caused by the COVID pandemic, and its weakest variant, omicron. On Saturday, nearly 1,000 domestic and international flights were canceled according to the New York Post.
