Larry Elder is seriously considering a White House bid.

Elder ran last year for California governor in the Golden State’s recall election for governor. Elder received more votes than any other candidate for the chance to succeed Democratic Governor. Gavin Newsom was recalled, but he survived after the majority of voters rejected his removal from office. Newsom is running for reelection at the California gubernatorial election in 2022.

Elder, who has written a column and authored many books, left his position as a talk-radio host on Salem Radio Network earlier in the year. Elder is also the executive producer for “Uncle Tom II,” which follows the 2020 film “Uncle Tom.”

Elder stated that he strongly considers running for president during a CSPAN interview on Book TV.

He stated that it’s not that he believes he could “displace” former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis if they seek the presidency. “But I have some things to share. Elder said that the main thing is the collapse of the American nuclear family. “The welfare state has incentivized women and men to marry the government, and incentivized them to give up their moral and financial responsibility,” Elder said.

DeSantis is running in Florida for reelection, but has not yet announced his plans to run for the presidency. Although Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, is widely expected to run again for office in 2024 as he has not yet made an official announcement.

Elder stated to the Des Moines Register that he doesn’t feel like he’s running against him. “I am running for president. And I’m not running to oppose anyone on the Republican side. If Joe Biden runs, I will be running against him, and Kamala Harris if she wins. He said that he was “kicking the tires” in Iowa while mulling a bid for a higher office.

According to the outlet, Elder spoke at an Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition meeting on Saturday. He attended the Iowa State Fair last month.

Elder said to the Daily Wire, “If you’re going for president, the Iowa State Fair kind of arite of passage.” “So I went and was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception. I met with the governor in Iowa. I met (the) lieutenant governor. I met with several local politicians and met with some very wealthy donors. It was not something that anyone thought was unusual.
