Howard Stern, a radio talk show host, said Jon Stewart, a former host of the “Daily Show”, would win if he ran for president.
On Monday, the shock jock addressed who should run in case President Joe Biden does not run for reelection in 2024.
Stern stated, “His name is Jon Stewart.”
He said, “That guy is so fi***iing smart, bright, and also very witty when he takes up a debate.” He knows how to speak, which makes him a great communicator.
Stern went on to claim that the 60-year-old comedian is likable enough to win.
He continued, “I’m telling ya, he could win because people such as Jon Stewart” Owe it to his country.”
Stewart was also praised for his criticism of Congress members in 2019 regarding the 9/11 survivor funds.
“The guy would be terrific and I think he’d do it,” Stern concluded.
Many supported Stewart’s attacks on Congress members, but Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, reacted and accused Stewart of lying to make it seem like he was trying to discredit politicians.
Paul stated, “I know Jon Stewart and Jon Stewart can sometimes be funny and sometimes well-informed, but in this instance, he’s neither funny nor informed.”
“So he’s really not informed, and his name-calling just sort of exposes him as a left-winger, part of the left-wing mob that really isn’t using his brain and is willing to call people names. It’s really kind of disgusting,” Paul added. “The BS meter is through the roof!”
