Rage Coping Takes Over After DOJ Officially Clears Matt Gaetz

Rep. Matt Gaetz is in the clear after the DOJ officially decided to not pursue charges related to sex trafficking.

Gaetz was the subject of a long-running government leakage operation that exposed him as being guilty of trafficking a 17-year-old girl. Although no evidence was ever found, the left continued to smear the Florida congressman, insisting that the accusation was true. It was also the centerpiece of Rebekah Jones’ failed campaign against Gaetz, a well-known conspiracy theorist.

However, the DOJ had other ideas and has now officially informed all parties involved that the long-running saga is over.

After it became obvious that the DOJ had no evidence to support its case, this was the most likely outcome. Nevertheless, leaks continued to be propagated for many years. The only possible explanation was that they were coming from government officials. This tactic has been favored by the “deep state” with partisan federal officials trying their best to convict political enemies in a court of public opinion, despite the fact that the legal cases are weak or nonexistent.

Naturally, the left is not happy with Gaetz’s win. Rage-induced coping began immediately.

For people like these, it didn’t matter if Gaetz was guilty or not. They were happy to let the government do the dirty work and were confident that the abuses they were spreading would not be used against them. This is a poor strategy when it comes to electoral politics where everything can change in one election. The left might be better at avoiding creating bad precedents that can prove to be very damaging in the name of political expediency.

Who am I kidding? This won’t change the way that the left works. Gaetz received the punishment of being pursued and subject to illegal leaks for many years. The bad actors who abused the DOJ received what they wanted, even without bringing charges. It shouldn’t be this way, but it is.
