Roe v. Wade was finally overturned. The Left’s reaction has been predictable. Leftists have been pounding the walls, gnashing their teeth, and shouting hatred. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-Make Mine a Double), has shouted that this decision is “illegitimate” leading pro-abortion activists to chant “into the street.” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Unhinged), has declared, “The hell With the Supreme Court.” They will not defy us!” However, no one expects supporters of Antifa or Black Lives Matter to keep their anger contained to words. Even Old Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security stopped hunting for white supremacists on Friday to warn Catholic churches that there would be a “night of fury.”
It is unlikely that violence in churches will be a new phenomenon. Live Action’s Lila Rose pointed to Thursday that pro-abortion activists had: -Vandalized 16 church buildings -Vandalized at most 16 pro-life abortion centers -Firebombed four pro-life centers and offices –Attempted assassination of a Supreme Court Justice
Pro-abortion activists have been threatening violence if Roe was overturned for quite some time. It would be more surprising at this point if Leftists remained calm and vowed to work peacefully and within the bounds of the law than if they started howling with irrational rage and burning things down, as they sought to forbid states from outlawing the murder of children.

The DHS has instructed churches to be prepared for “extreme violence.” This is quite striking. It’s quite remarkable that such a warning was issued considering that Biden’s Justice Department handlers publicly disapproved of the Supreme Court decision and that the Biden administration failed to condemn illegal protests at the homes of Justices who were thought to be likely to vote against Roe. The Disinformation Governance Board was created by the Biden Department for Homeland Security to control and monitor Americans’ speech. It now cares whether Catholic churches are being targeted because they support life. It is interesting that DHS seems to believe it must keep this in mind. The DHS informed Catholic Churches that anti-abortion terrorists, including Jane’s Revenge (linked to Antifa), are planning a “Night of Rage”, Friday night. They will be targeting churches and pregnancy centers. Jane’s Revenge moaned, “We have cried over this lack of indignation. We are afraid to bring down those who are destroying our country. While state repression may be a valid fear, it is not the only one.
Accordingly, the Roman Catholic Diocese in Stockton, Calif. issued an “urgent note” to its clergy and parishes. Jesse Rangel, a DHS agent had told diocesan officials of a manifesto calling for attacks against churches starting at 8 p.m. the night the Dobbs decision was made. This would be Friday night.
Newsweek reports that the memo doesn’t describe the threats to churches but that Rangel informed the diocesan that large groups of cells from across the country were already ‘casing’ Catholic parishes in California. Stockton diocese sent a critical notice to clergy and parish officials asking them to create a plan in case they see or hear something suspicious.
The memo advised churches to have ushers or security present during services. It also suggested that they identify law enforcement personnel among volunteers and parishioners. Someone asking questions outside of the Mass would be suspicious. Are your doors always open? Are you armed with security? ”
It’s all fine and dandy, but it also highlights the obvious fact that the churches are independent. The DHS issued a warning. Imagine what it would look like if a pro-life militant group announced its plans to “unleash hell” on abortion centers. Is it possible that DHS would have sent out a warning in such a case? Every abortion center in the nation would have a National Guard. The two-tiered justice system applies to churches.
