Biden’s Past Pledge to Utilize Presidential Authority to Block Trump’s White House Return

Many of Donald Trump’s supporters and advocates are pointing out that the actions of the Biden administration, which is accusing him of possessing classified documents, parallel the corruption of third-world dictatorships.

Yet, at a November press conference, Joe Biden promised to do just that, when asked about Trump’s possible return to the White House.

“So, the whole genesis of the G7 conversation is tied to your predecessor who is about to launch another campaign. How do you reassure these people, if this is the reason behind their questioning, the former president won’t return, or that his still-strong political movement will not… take power again in the United States?” a reporter asked Biden.

Biden stated, “We just need to show that he won’t take power by running for president, if — if — if — we do run.” “I am making sure, under the legitimate efforts of our Constitution he doesn’t become the next President again.”

There is no doubt about this. The Democrats have tried to impeach Trump twice but failed. Donald Trump was indicted on charges of mishandling classified information, which Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden also committed, but were not held accountable for.

“None of them came into possession of those documents while they were president,” Trump attorney and spokeswoman Alina Habba explained. Hillary Clinton only served as secretary of state, and Joe Biden obtained and retained classified documents as a U.S. senator and vice president. “None of them were president—who, as the head and sole member of the executive branch—has the power to summarily declassify documents. The decision to pursue charges against President Trump while turning a blind eye to others is emblematic of the corruption that we have here.”

Habba noted that targeting “a leading political opponent is the type of thing you see in dictatorships like Cuba and Venezuela,” where it is “commonplace there for rival candidates to be prosecuted, persecuted and put into jail.”

But months ago Joe Biden boasted about doing just that. Instead of expressing confidence that Trump will lose in a fair and free election, he said that he would use the government’s power to stop Trump.
