Alexandra Pelosi (a documentary filmmaker and the daughter of Nancy Pelosi’s House Speaker), released footage that shows the House speaker boasting she would “punch” former President Donald Trump if Trump traveled from the White House up to the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
CNN reported that Pelosi was reacting to Trump’s chief of staff telling her that Trump had been “dissuaded” by the Secret Service.
Pelosi boasted to his aides, “If he arrives, I’m going out to punch him out.” “I have been waiting for this. I will punch him out for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. And I’m going to send him to jail. I’m going to be happy.”
Pelosi’s tendency to use bellicose language about Trump predated the January 6 comments. Pelosi said to MSNBC in July 2020 that Trump wouldn’t leave the White House if he didn’t accept the November election results. This was the day following an interview in which Trump suggested he might not accept them.
Pelosi stated, “The truth is, regardless of whether he knows or not, he will leave.” Even though he may not be ready to leave the White House, that doesn’t mean there won’t be an inauguration ceremony to induct a duly elected President of the United States.
Pelosi said, “I’m second-in-line to the presidency, and just last week I had my regular continuation government briefing.” This might be of interest to you because I tell them that this is not going to happen. It won’t, God willing. But it is possible. It has nothing to do with the fact that the White House occupant doesn’t feel like moving. The presidency must be fumigated from there. It is not about geography or whereabouts.
