Thursday morning, the leftist mayor of College Park was arrested and charged with child pornography distribution and possession.
Patrick Wojahn (47), an LGBT activist who stated his pronouns on Twitter (i.e. “he/him/his”) and supported Democrat causes, reportedly submitted his resignation letter just before his arrest.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department Wojahn was charged with 40 counts for possession of child exploitation material and 16 counts for distribution of child exploitation material. He is currently being held in Prince George’s County Jail.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified local police on February 17 that a social network account they had deemed to be under their control had child pornography and was distributing it. According to the PGCPD, images, and videos were uploaded to the account in January.
After a PGCPD investigation, it was discovered that the social media account belonged only to the mayor of the city.

On February 28, detectives executed a search warrant at Wojahn’s house. During the search warrant, they found multiple cell phones, a storage device, and a tablet as well as a computer. Wojahn was then charged by the PGCPD with 56 counts of distribution and possession of child pornography.
Wojahn’s resignation takes effect immediately. He was replaced by Denise Mitchell, Mayor Pro Tem until a special election takes place within the next 65 days.
The pedophile was mayor of the city since 2015 and has been on the council since 2007.
According to the Diamondback, Wojahn was named vice-chair of the National League of Cities Race, Equity, and Leadership Program in March. Wojahn was given the task of achieving “racial equity through city planning and design.”
On his website, he stated that he was striving to “instill principles of justice and equity in all of our practices and policies, and pursue restorative justice.”
Wojahn, in addition to his interest in identity politics and climate alarmism, also suggests that climate change “presents one the greatest threats to the city and our community.” He is also an LGBT activist having been a member of Capital Pride Alliance and working with the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
Wojahn stated in his resignation letter that he had cooperated fully with law enforcement and that “while this investigation doesn’t involve any city business of any type, it is best for our community that we step aside and stop being a distraction.”
Wojahn suggested, too, that he was “stepping aside to deal with his own mental health.”
