According to CNN, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, reportedly advised President Joe Biden to “calm Down” and corrected him on Russian forces Biden believed were ready to “sack” Kyiv.
Jack Posobiec is a man of great sources. I believe him. So, Thursday, I was inclined to believe him when he tweeted that the Ukrainian president was correcting Biden multiple times when he claimed that Kyiv was being sacked by Russian forces’. He even asked Biden to slow down at one point.
CNN’s Jake Tapper shared the report of Matthew Chance on the BidenZelensky conversation with his colleague, but it was quickly deleted.
CNN’s Natasha Bertrand also shared the story, but she deleted her tweet.
Tapper attempted to delete the Posobiec deletions again later but was then called out for it. Tapper also noted that Zelensky and the White House had subsequently denied the claims.
Jake, maybe this is the tweet you’ll share?
The now-disputed report claims that a senior Ukrainian official said to CNN that the call “didn’t go well,” despite it being described as “long, and frank.”
Biden was reported to have told his Ukrainian counterpart that he believed a Russian attack might be imminent. Zelensky, however, apparently disagreed and stated that the Russian disposition remains “dangerous, but ambiguous.”
According to the report, Biden “disagreed” and “insisted an invasion was now practically certain.”
Zelensky advised Biden to “calm the messaging” regarding Russia’s intentions and reminded the alleged U.S. President of its economic consequences.
Biden stated that despite his belief that Putin is almost certain to invade Ukraine and “sack” Kyiv in a military coup, Ukraine would not receive any more military support and no sophisticated weapons systems.
1994: President Bill Clinton promised American security assistance to Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine’s surrender of all its Soviet-era nuclear arms.
What was the truth? The transcript of the telephone call will never be released so we won’t.
That’s why the GOP is having a lot of fun.
Biden asked President Trump in 2019 to release the “transcript from the call” he had just with Zelensky.
Trump released the transcript.
What’s the plan, Mr. President?
