The Biden administration has canned several immigration judges, all appointed by Trump, and replaced them with “progressive” magistrates. Republicans have an idea as to why this happened but sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding answers anyway. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) want the answers by 5 p.m. on August 3.
The letter begins:
Dear Attorney General Garland
We are writing to inform you of your decision to not hire multiple immigration judges under the Trump Administration. This is a violation of the Civil Service Reform Act. (CSRA) explicitly prohibits discrimination based upon political affiliation. We request your cooperation in our investigation.
Jordan and Grassley believe they know why the Biden administration fired the judges. It was an illegal immigrant-loving organization. They even have the receipt.
These terminations could have been partially due to a coordinated effort of the Biden-Harris administration with far-left immigration advocates.
Immigration judges must serve two-year probation. Judges in immigration are required to serve a two-year probation period.
Judges decide which illegal immigrants can stay and who should be deported.
Surprisingly, however, immigration judges have their own union. They also sent a cranky letter to the Department of Justice. This union is responsible for supervising approximately 590 immigration judges.
“The refusal by the agency to provide any meaningful feedback or explanations as to why the judges were not retained is inconsistent in the administration’s views on labor and how important it is for good employer-employee relations,” the letter stated. They should have been treated better. ”
Hon. Matthew O’Brien made the following statement on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle”:
People who wish to remain in the United States or have violated immigration laws are entitled to fair review.
O’Brien continued,
Biden’s administration has directed ICE to drop all of the cases it has received. This is an innovative way to reduce the backlog. Instead of continuing cases, they are releasing people into the United States interior.
The White House claims that the border has been closed. However, 46 illegal immigrants were killed in a truck.
Judges are rarely fired after their probationary period. They are fired for serious offenses, such as sexual harassment.
Today, more than 1.8 million cases are handled by approximately 590 judges. Biden intends to add 100 judges before October. This will prevent immigrants from invading America for many years. It is not too soon.
